a Lines in Time Retreat

We celebrate the intersections of life — where paths cross, ideas spark, and wonder unfolds. We design immersive experiences that awaken creativity, connection, and delight. Through curated workshops and gatherings, we blend sophistication with spontaneity, mindful design and playful surprise — reminding us that the best of life is found not in straight lines, but in the joyful curves and crossings along the way.
There is something rather wonderful about gathering around a table with other people, putting pen to paper, and thinking about someone beyond the room.
A Lines in Time Postcard Party is an opportunity to do just that. Guests spend time writing to friends, family members, or anyone who might appreciate finding a few handwritten words in the mail. Along the way, prompts and conversation get us thinking about connection. How do we create it? How do we sustain it? How can something as simple as a note remind someone they are remembered?
Everything you need is provided, including postcards, pens, postage, and writing prompts. There is no pressure to compose the perfect message. A funny memory, a few words of encouragement, or a simple “I was thinking of you” can be more than enough.
Postcard Parties can be tailored to the group and occasion. They might be lighthearted and social, reflective and meaningful, or a little of both.
We would be delighted to learn more about your gathering and create a proposal especially for you!

Some projects need instruction. Others simply need an invitation, a welcoming place, and a little time set aside.
Merry Making is a year-round series of creative gatherings with different ways to make. Bring a project of your own or join us for a seasonal activity or shared endeavor.
Spend two or three hours making without pressure, with light refreshments, select supplies, practical support, and just enough structure to help you settle in and begin.
Some gatherings will be lively and social, with ideas and conversation moving around the table. Others offer a quieter chance to return to a project waiting for your attention. There’s no need to consider yourself an “artist” or finish something before the gathering ends. Progress is welcome. So are unfinished projects.
The projects and places will change throughout the year, but the spirit of Merry Making stays the same: time set aside to make.

Lines in Time retreats offer a change of pace and the chance to become absorbed in something interesting, restorative, or entirely new. Each takes its shape from a particular place, pursuit, season, or idea, with wonderful food and warm hospitality along the way.
Some retreats offer the chance to try something new. Others provide uninterrupted time for a project or interest that has been waiting for your attention.
A refreshing departure from the ordinary, without the need to pack a suitcase. Gardens, vineyards, studios, kitchens, flower farms, and unexpected spaces become part of the day, with time for curiosity, conversation, discovery, and a few surprises.
With a little more time, something shifts. Settle into a beautiful place and leave the usual pace behind. Days may include individual pursuits, shared meals, excursions, conversation, rest, and open time to see what unfolds when no one is in a hurry.
Whether for a day or several, a Lines in Time retreat is a chance to step away, become curious, and return home carrying something new.
